Let's help pay the bill! Seriously how good exposure would it be for this place if we could raise even $1000 and sent to the club to help pay the fine because we feel the same way?

I'd chuck in $20 to start with, there are hundreds of members so we could get to say $1000 to send in. It would be great coverage for this place....

I'll put up $100 Woodgers, if you organise the payment. I'm serious.

It's a Woodgers idea... maybe he can do it on behalf of the Raiders Army and The Greenhouse... if he volunteers to organise, I'll stand by my $100 offer. :)

Good idea, Raiders are $300 to win the comp, we can go 5/5 (Dogs and Warriors could be tricky)

Just joking...sort of ;)

$25 for me.

But with all honesty, the Raiders won't accept the donation. You might want to check the legitimacy of them accepting donations before doing this.

If they do, I'll put in $25.

IBG makes a good point. I'd be suprised if they accept any donations for somthing like a fine.

However if they are willing, I'll put in $20 too.

great idea.

maybe you could also write a little letter in support of neill and his comments. i reckon it could also make the papers and give the raiders and their supporters some publicity.

and well get more than a 1000 so just set it up someone.

i will give $30.

if the club don't except it then we could give them our permission or something and say they can donate it to that charity for that church guy that they are raising money for in the country overseas.

I don't think that is a good idea. People should protect their bank account numbers and never publish them or give them to people on the internet. If Woodgers sets up a PayPal account that could work.

I'm in for $50 provided someone supplies donation fund details and confirms the club will accept it...

Would have put more in however lost it all on silly 13+ bet I made over the weekend...Just because of a stupid 'feeling'

I'll put in $20. Imagine the Sydney media when they get a hold of this!!!

Woodgers or GE you could send an email to 104.7 and the Canberra Times to get some publicity.

Why not set up a scholarship or prize for junior players or something instead. They could use the money a lot more and I would be happy to donate in that case.

This might get a bit of attention but there is no way the club will be able to accept it.

Idea of giving in to the SLG if they don't except it is a great idea. But you would want them to organize a novelty cheque.

You know what the funny thing is guys.......and I am dead serious?

Yesterday morning I emailed Neil saying that if he copped a fine, that I know of a group of Raiders fans that will contribute to "the cause for telling the truth!"

Woodgers, are you hacking into my Outlook program??? :x

Anyway, here is a copy of that email I sent:

Neil,

If you happen to be fined for pointing the obvious after the game on Saturday, there are a group of Raiders fans willing to donate to the cause.

Maxwell had a shocker, and the manner in which he treated our captain was disgusting. He would not have treated Lockyer that way.

Its hard enough to beat Melbourne, especially at Olympic Park, but Maxwell didn’t help.

Better luck next week against the Panthers,

Now I know I have a prophetic gifting (David Almighty?? ) I will pledge $20 to the "telling the truth cause"

I'll put in a lobster (that's $20 for those of you not up with the lingo ) in as well.

Love the idea that if the club can't/won't take it, get them to give the money to the SLG for the dude they're sponsoring. I'm sure as a charitable donation they won't turn it down, shows the Raiders community bonding together too :)

Why dont we find out what Charity Henry supports and donate it to that charity???

That would make more sense because it is obvious the Raiders would not accept the money for a fine that they have to cop on the chin.

If you do collect Woodgers... you might also need to see if there are any regulations that need to be complied with (eg that control collections for charities)... Sorry to bring up the bureaucratic/legal side of things...

Sign me up. I floated the ieaa in the other Henry fine thread. I say take it a step further and build up a war chest. If the unions can do it so can we!

Seriously Finch can get ****; his excuses and apologetic rubbish have worn well thin. Im sick of favouritism and am so glad Henry had the big ones to say something publicly. For that Neil, i commend thee. I pledge a cool fiddy.
