Confirmed - Penrith halfback Joe Williams has been granted an immediate release by the Panthers to play out the remainder of 2008 with NRL rivals the Bulldogs.

If Webb hated Murray that much, why would he make a decision on his future for 2 years after this one, when Murray wouldn't be around for those 2 years abyway? I highly doubt he would be spiteful and make a decision solely on who is going to coach him for the next 3-4 months when it doesn't affect his next contract.
